How it works

From the first call to the last check

Five steps. Most clients hear from us at every one of them, whether or not there's news.

  1. 01

Step 1: You call, or send the form

A lawyer listens to what happened and asks a few questions. It's free, and there's no obligation.

  2. 02

Step 2: We say yes, or tell you who can help

If it's a case we take, we explain the fee and the costs in writing. If it isn't, we tell you who to call.

  3. 03

Step 3: We gather the evidence

Reports, photos, records, the truck's data. You keep going to your doctor; we keep track of the bills.

  4. 04

Step 4: We make the claim

When your treatment settles down, we send the insurer a written demand with everything that supports it.

  5. 05

Step 5: We settle, or we file

Most cases settle. If the offer isn't fair, we talk through filing a lawsuit, and you decide.

Fees and costs

What it costs you

We work on a contingency fee: a percentage of what we recover, set out in the agreement you sign. If there's no recovery, there's no fee.

Case costs are different. Filing fees, medical records, depositions and expert reports cost money. Your agreement says who pays them and when, and we'll go over it with you line by line before you sign.

While you wait

How long will my case take?

Most settle within a year of finishing treatment. A case that goes to trial takes longer. We'll give you our honest guess at the start and update it.

Will I have to go to court?

Probably not. Most cases settle. If yours is filed, you may give a deposition, and we'll prepare you for it.

Who pays my medical bills while I wait?

Your health insurance, medical payments coverage or the provider's patience, depending on the case. We'll help you sort out which.
